How Brahmasetu collects, uses and protects your information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and location details (city, pincode, state or country). If you list a business, we additionally collect the business name, owner name, contact details, address, category, description, and any logo or supporting documents you upload for verification. If you register with Rakt Setu, our blood donor network, we collect your blood group, city, pincode, and donation history.
We use your information to operate your account, display your business listing to other users, connect blood donors with people searching for one, process membership and listing requests, respond to support enquiries, and send you account-related emails such as password resets and listing status updates.
A verified business listing's public details (name, category, contact information, description, location) are visible to other users of the platform, since that is the purpose of a business directory. Rakt Setu donor information is shown only to other logged-in users searching for donors, and your phone number is shown according to the visibility setting you choose (public or on-request). We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Membership payments are processed by Razorpay, a third-party payment gateway. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank details ourselves — that information is handled directly by Razorpay under its own privacy and security practices. For product and service orders, we ask for a screenshot of your payment as proof, which is reviewed by our team before a booking or order is confirmed.
Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing and are never visible to our staff. All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to your account from our mobile app uses a secure authentication token rather than storing your password on your device.
We retain your account and listing information for as long as your account remains active. If you would like your account or personal data deleted, contact us using the details below and we will process your request.
You can update your profile information, change your password, or opt out of Rakt Setu at any time from within your account. You can also request a copy of your data, request corrections, or request deletion by contacting us.
Brahmasetu is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
